Do not be fooled by the above. There is no romance between humans. There is only romance between you and Shanghai. I really enjoyed myself throughout the 4 days , though it was peppered by some slight irritation due to miscommunication and travel-stress (yes it exists). General stuff about Shanghai :1. Transport : Travelling around is quite convenient if you know where to go. Cab is pretty cheap, and most tourist spots should be accessible by their Metro (our MRT). Take note of their peak hour, probably during 8.30 am and 5.30pm (their office hours). Cars do not care about pedestrains, so be careful when you cross... EVEN if you have the right of way ie : green man is on.
2. Pickpockets : We got targetted twice, once at Ren Ming Guang Chang (People's Square) and Xu Jia Hui. So like I always tell my brothers, it is better to carry your bag in front of you if you are wearing a back pack and look like a geek, rather than to lose your possessions. We even saw the same pick pocket at the shopping complex near our hotel and he commented ' hey, ain't those people the ones we saw this morning?' WTH?!?!?!
3. Weather : It was quite cold when we went, so we had to wear long sleeves top and a jacket. It might get colder. But tourguide said it can be as hot as 42 degrees in summer! YikeS!
