Wedding's over!

Yes, I cannot believe that after about a year of preparation, everything just zoomed by in one day and it's over! ^^ So now I have to backtrack and remember some of the important events that led to the special 1st August itself.

Taiwan BB Photoshoot

Arrived on the 9th June 2010 - Gloomy clouds.. got kind of worried.. but didn't have time to think too much. Went off to XMD to meet up with J & A and tailored a bright silver shiny suit for him. He was so happy that he got to join in my fashion show.

10th June 2010 - Woke up early to view J & A's makeup session. So fun fun fun! She looked like Medusa! I guess I would as well, the next day. Went back in the afternoon for gown fitting. I absolutely adore the room. It was sooooooooooooooo soooooooo pretty with gowns of every single colour ever possible! I was simply like a little girl in a candy shop! The co-ordinator told me to pick and choose anything that I wanted, hang it up by the side and she would assist me in trying! I felt like I was in 7th Heaven. All the gowns were so lovely I wanted to try almost everything! Think he almost fell asleep though. 2 hours later, we were done and I was absolutely pleased with my selections. Couldn't wait for the photoshoot the next day.

11th June 2010 - Raining!!! I woke up to rain!!! wweeeeps. The PG said we should wait for the next day to take photos instead. I guess it was fated. 12th June would make it more meaningful because that would be our 9yrs 6mths anniversary! Went KTV instead and it was like going to a hotel! So fun fun fun!

12th June 2010 - Photoshoot day! Met my MUA and I must say that I was in love with her! haha.. she was so friendly and nice and there wasn't any airs about her. We were not in a very good mood because it was still raining the whole day. Felt really sad that we couldn't go take our seaside/forest/lake etc. Didn't dare to take the risk and thus made our way to the farm.. which up till today I do not rem the name. Grand piano, lavender flowers, sunflowers, a swing in the middle of a lake, a platform, a windmill I guess there were many pretty shots that we could take!
Then went to a garden and a church. Didn't go to many places but it was still rather nice. I have not seen anyone going to the church before. Went back to the bridal studio and took some cool cool indoor shots. Was really tired in the end but the photos turned out really nice even though if we looked really closely, could see the drizzling rain. hehehe topped up for 10 photos and bought 20 softcopies and were given 10 free ones because we did not want a lot of items like 'Thank You' cards, guest book and the big frame. Went back exhausted but I felt quite satisfied.

I <3 photoshoots!

Outdoor Shoot

27 Dec 2009

Our outdoor photoshoot time! Made our way to JB at about 11 plus in the morning. Had Mac prosperity burgers and twisted fries. Not nice at all. We were very disappointed but that has nothing to do with my blog post anyway.

Reached the bridal house at 12 and started the makeup. This time round, had experience so I sat there like some spoilt brat with my fingers sticking out for Jay to stick the fake nails for me. The makeup Jenny did for me this time was really nice! Looked very very different and since I wearing freshkon big eye contacts this time, my eyes really looked MUCH bigger! ^_^

It started to rain again for a short while so waited and pranced around in my gown while taking photos illegally. Wasn't supposed to take pictures but we happily took them openly. Maybe because the gown was one that has been worn by numerous people anyway.

Finally made our way to Sultan Garden JB and started our photoshoot. It was really fun and an eye-opener because the building reminded me of those that you see in TV shows where they hide kidnapped people. Old and really run-down. However, it felt really apt for the mood and we were more relaxed this time round although it was really starting to be hot and sunny!

Went to a total of 6 locations and it was really starting to be tired. When he announced that it was the last shot, a sense of happiness mixed with sadness came over me. It was ending and we could go back to rest but it also meant that part of my wedding preparations... the most fun part is over... =(

Some people might wonder why are we spending so much time to make our way to JB every step of the way when it can be done in Singapore. Part of the fun could be that we tend to grow closer each time we make our way there because we have only each other to stick to and the experience of going "overseas" each time as we progress towards the next chapter of our lives is simply surreal.

If you know me, you will see my pictures on FB. If not... I'm sorry you can't.

First Photoshoot Experience!

A bit slow... but still.. it has been less than a month so I'm not that late! By my usual standards anyway.

22nd Dec 2009
Went for our first photoshoot in JB ... YES! I am a JB bridal studio bride and proud of it =)
Was rather tired and upset because after coming back from Japan a week ago, it has been non-stop socialising and no rest at all. Also, the day before I slept late because I was busy sticking on fake nails and being super worried that they would fall off!

In the end, those fears could have been avoided because the team at the bridal studio actually could have helped me stick them on! -_- wasted my entire night tossing and turning trying to feel that all my false nails were still existent.

Reached at 11am and started my makeup. The MUA was really really good! She did not say a single thing about me using my own eyelashes and ampoules. Saved about RM40 I guess. Moreover, I had to use 3 eyelashes on each side because she kept saying my eyes were very big. Which I agree... used to glaring at those kids. *Grins*

Lost one fake fingernail and was really upset. However, one of the guys suggested that I wear my wedding band on that finger and replace the lost fingernail with one of theirs that had 3-D flowers stuck onto it. To symbolise that it was a "special" finger. hahaha.. you heard it first here!

Had my first outfit, a green flowy dress while he was dressed in black. Kind of didn't anticipate the process of the photoshoot and was slouching all the time. PG had to keep reminding me to 'TING XIONG!' Really funny yet awkward at the same time. Hair was tied up with a big purplish flower to top it all. Wonder if my face will look big and round... =(

Second outfit was a sweet white wedding gown. Tube style with brown ribbons adorning the bottom part. Wore the necklace he made for me. He was dressed in all white.. But too bad.. didn't feel like he was my Prince charming! Ok, being mean again! Took quite a number of shots in this outfit. I did like the design of the gown.. very princessy and elegant.

Third outfit was a wedding gown in white with a glorious black train. Made me look slim from certain angles! Tube style again. Hair had one white accessory to complement it.

Had lunch because we were really hungry. They catered one meal for us. Not bad! He really liked his fried rice but I felt that my bee hoon was too dry. But being so famished, gobbled down everything.

Fourth outfit was a orange red tube gown with the center kind of translucent. He really liked that gown. However, I felt that the number of shots taken for this gown were too few. Quite disappointed though.

Fifth gown was a Victorian-styled cream/brown one. Had strings of beads draping the shoulders. He really liked it. Took quite a number of shots for this gown as well. If I didn't remember wrongly, I had a huge necklace hung over my head. Made me feel like a queen!

Next was another cream-coloured but full of bling bling spaghetti strap gown. The entire back was backless except for a row of bling bling! I do hope my fats were not being squeezed! If not cannot show all the backless pictures.

Last outfit.. finally! (Cos he was like dozing off) A white halter gown which I really really like cos I felt very sophisticated in it. hehehez Had bling bling all over without being over the top and could cover part of my ... fats! By that time he was really exhausted but I just wanted to take more pictures. hahaha.. when they announced it was the last picture, I could hear the sigh of relief. *dwang*

By that time, it was already 9pm. Ready to go home! No outdoor shots for that day because it was raining. Wow, couldn't imagine how tiring it would be if we had taken both indoor and outdoor on the same day.

Next post.. outdoor shoot!

Getting the sample photos later. Very scared... nervous that I wouldn't look good. Cannot be bothered by how that guy looks... cos he will look good no matter what. Because he is a guy!

Bah!~

So many things to plan and nobody's helping.
As much as I love being the planner, I just wish that people will cooperate. If you don't want to help, just agree with everything. Don't be there to pinpoint this and pinpoint that. It gets really very depressing. and I feel really sickened.

Step by step?

After the extreme high from the week before comes the extreme confusion. There are so many things rushing at me right in the face, luckily it's school holidays and I am taking things a bit slow.

Should I start with this? Or should I start with that? Who knows? And who can tell me?
Questions , questions and more questions. I am not at a loss, I'm just at a crossroad of my life.

Strange. Will I survive this year? I wonder.

I am going!!

TO JAPAN!! YAY! So deliriously happy when we went to NATAS fair and booked the tickets. So far we have only booked the tickets and nothing else but at least it would mean that I AM FINALLY GOING TO JAPAN! Ok, I shall stop screaming and get on with the next piece of news.

We have also booked a package to go Taiwan for our wedding shoot, together with J & A! Yes, Mrs Ng, we have finally gotten off our fat butts and done something that is progressive. :P
Haven't really decided on when we will go, but so far, I am really looking forward to it because it has always been my wish to go Taiwan (a place that I really like) to take pictures.

Need to focus on our Japan trip. Don't want to go there walking around getting lost.
